Security: The security system in eLogger lets you control who can view, create, edit, and delete entries. Entries can become read-only after a set amount of time, or specific parts of the entry can be read-only. Every edit is tracked and accessible via the audit reports.

Email alerts: eLogger can send emails when an important entry is made. These emails can be triggered by fields you define, such as a reading exceeding a set value. Each email includes a PDF report of the entire entry and a hyperlink to eLogger.

Integration: eLogger can import data from OLE DB-compliant sources, such as PI or other process historians, maintenance management systems, or enterprise systems. This can also be used to summarize multiple eLogger records and roll them into a single entry.

Reminders: Create reminders to let employees know that an entry needs to be made on a specific date at a specific time. That time can be as frequent as every minute or as infrequent as once a year. Denote certain entries as mandatory so that users are prevented from making any other entries until they have made the entry that you have mandated.

Spell Checking, Formatting, and Sorting: Log entries are neatly formatted on your screen, displaying only what you want to see, in the order you want to see it. Spell check and formatting (i.e. bold, underline, fonts, colors) are available.

Attachments: Users have the option of adding an unlimited number of documents, links and/or images to the Log entry.

Full Audit Trail: If you allow your users to edit logs, eLogger’s powerful audit feature tracks who changed it, what they changed, when they changed it, and what the previous value was.

Announcements and Notifications: Easily keep your employees informed with system-wide announcements and site-specific notifications.

Much of the power of eLogger comes from its flexibility and adaptability to specific needs. Using the Template feature, you may create your own custom data entry forms. You can add entirely new pages including the data fields you need to track. The Template is assigned to one or more Logs and can then be attached to a specific Location or Locations. The templates can be as simple – or as complex – as your needs require.

  • Specify the field-type (i.e. date, text, memo, dropdown, radio button).
  • Control the sort order on the lists.
  • Specify fields or entire templates as read-only.
  • Set default values and make specific fields mandatory entry.
  • Denote which fields are searchable by the eLogger search engine.
  • Allow validation on text fields (such as it has to be a number between 1 and 10).
  • Specify the type of template (i.e. Single-Entry, Multi-Row Grid, External Data Query).
  • Import data from an OLE DB-compliant source, such as a process historian or maintenance management system
